The RACE aquatics Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of their new Head Coach, Darrick Thomas.
Coach Thomas has been in the coaching ranks for over 20 years and brings a wealth of knowledge ranging from USA Club level swimming to NCAA Division I experience. Coach Thomas was an assistant coach at Western Kentucky under Coach Bill Powell, and was recently Head Coach at Zionsville Swim Club outside Indianapolis coaching both USA Swimmers and High school athletes. During his time in Indiana he grew the club by 300% and generated elite athletes that are now participating at the NCAA level.
His experience in Kentucky swimming includes coaching with the Lakeside Seahawks, the Lexington Dolphins, and head coach of the Vette City Stingrays.
